Would the start date occur on the payment being 30 days late after the two year period – would this first 30 days past due be a breach of payment agreement? There was no attempt by the debtor to pay this debt after the 2 years promotional period. Credit debt originated in the State of California with a 4 years statute of limitation..

Does a 1099C have to be filed the same year as the debt settlement?

I settled a debt in July of 2007 but didn’t receive a 1099C until today (02/02/2009) for tax year 2008. Shouldn’t the 1099C have been filed for tax year 2007 since the settlement occurred in July of 2007? What should I do?

I need a loan for debt consolidation, are there 1 year loans based on salary?

I have some significant debt to eiliminate, the problem is interest payments. I make around 50K a year, and if i had that in a lump sum payment i could eliminate all of my debt in one year and keep my current lifestyle. My question is, do any financial establishments offer a one year loan? If not are there any other options out there for me? I’m totally open for suggestions.
